Bad News For Minnesota

The Minnesota Twins are 4 games into the 2025 Season and things could not be going much worse for the ball club. Zero wins through the harsh start, and hardly a fight put up in any of them, they've been outscored 28-5 giving up 9 in both of the last two games. What has led to such an upsetting start to the season? Let's begin with their struggles at the plate:

• With Carlos Correa (12 ab) among the four remaining players seeking their first hit of the season (.000), not to mention seven players currently hitting under .100, some attention certainly needs to be directed at the offense. Even veteran players such as Byron Buxton have not been able to connect with more than 1 ball through 14 at bats.

• 32 Strikeouts and only 18 Hits recorded, 5 SO coming from both Jose Miranda and Byron Buxton who combine for 3 Hits 10 SO

It seems the only player with any early season competency would be Willi Castro who has recorded 5 Hits on 14 AB, resulting in a .357 AVG with 3 Doubles and a Homer.

Currently banged up all around the field, one MAJORLY anticipated return for Minnesota, is that of 3rd Baseman Royce Lewis who will hopefully bring some life to the Twins Batting Lineup.

Now, slightly directing our attention over to the Defensive side of things:

• Chris Paddack with 9 runs against over 3 innings on only 6 hits is a major concern. 3 walks, 6 hits allowed, 9 runs against, 3 innings. Not what Rocco Baldelli was hoping for out of Pete Maki and his Pitching Unit.

• Bailey Ober allowing 8 runs on 8 hits in 2 innings is along that similar trend of confusingly bad.

• Pitching has been far from something to write home about, with 3 Pitchers over a 24 ERA, however, given zero offensive momentum it's hard to pin things on the mound.

Overall the Minnesota Twins could be in for a LONG 158 remaining games if things to start trending upward for the seemingly hopeless ball club.
