As we near the midpoint of the week, UFC fans around the world are scratching at the calendar in anticipation of the upcoming lineup for UFC 308. To begin we’ve got a big fight in Rafael Dos Anjos and Geoff Neal, who in this current roster, could seemingly both use a win to hold on to any hope of rising in the ever-competitive rankings. Although experience can shine bright colors it could be a very hard fight for Rafael Dos Anjos as Geoff Neal has proven to harness some very heavy hands given the chance to unload, however there is no say how Saturday night will go for the two, fans will have to tune in.
Skipping ahead in the night we’ve got another exciting, and highly anticipated fight as Shara “the bullet” Magomedov will face off against Armen Petrosyan in what could be a massive breakthrough to major ranked fights for Shara Magomedov, who through adversity, has proven to be one of the strongest contenders in the league. Will Magomedov be able to push his way through Petrosyan in order to find himself a chance to move up the ranks?
As one of the stronger undercard fights on paper that the UFC has seen in quite some time, almost unbelievably not a co-main event, will be that of Robert Whittaker, and the assassin Khazmat Chimaev. Will Chimaev continue his prowess and take down Whittaker as he did Kevin Holland and Kamaru Usman just last year? Or will the ring rust hit? Allowing Whittaker to extend his win streak to 3?
The star-studded night will be headlined by “Blessed” Max Holloway as he will challenge the Featherweight Champion of the World, Ilia Topuria; Whose steady head and smart striking led him to gain the belt from former champion Alex Volkanovski in February at UFC 298. Max Holloway, who defeated Justin Gaethje earlier this year with a last second knockout in their slugfest of a BMF matchup, hopes to leave Abu Dhabi, The New Featherweight Champion of the UFC. Does he have what it takes? Or will Ilia Topuria defend his belt like he has ever so confidently predicted?
